Who are you?

You are someone that understands the importance of having a data-driven marketing strategy and you thrive in a performance-based marketing environment. To you, marketing is more of a science than an art, and success is measured only as far as the data that can back it up. Excitement from testing new and innovative marketing campaigns is only surpassed by the excitement that comes from building a world-class marketing team that reaches millions of consumers every day. Belly is a two sided network and you will be able to work both in the consumer and brand space (B2C) as well as the merchant side (B2B) In essence, you are a full-stack marketer, with a wide breadth of knowledge in all facets of the marketing universe.

 Reporting directly to the COO, the VP/SVP of Marketing will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, CEO, and the Board of Directors of Belly.

What you will do:

  • Build a world-class team. You will help grow, lead and develop the optimal team to hit aggressive goals. This means developing additional avenues for strategic growth and analyzing the success of these initiatives

  • Develop and incorporate advanced methodologies for understanding metrics and analytics into every marketing function, and integrate those methodologies cross-functionally to all departments

  • Develop strategies for member acquisitions, engagement, and retention. This includes in-store display strategies, digital strategies (CRM, Drip campaigns etc) and brand awareness

  • Work with your team to develop strategies for merchant acquisition, retention and reactivation through multiple channels, including SEM/SEO, contextual targeting, retargeting, inbound channels and other techniques not yet discovered

  • Create, develop and execute on an integrated, cross-platform social media strategy that is measurable and impactful, and drives not only awareness and brand affinity, but also new member acquisition and retention

  • Work on improving marketing ROI, not just proving ROI. This means:

    • Determining ROI estimates up-front

    • Creating marketing plans that are designed to be measurable

    • Executing with metrics in mind, and focusing on the decisions that will improve marketing ROI long-term

Experience and Skills:

What you need:

  • Have the experience and performance evidence to support your big mouth, particularly for multi-pronged marketing campaigns including: email marketing, online marketing, product marketing, public relations, and social media

  • Have a tech background with knowledge of various marketing and data tools

  • Data and analytics marketing experience within a startup required, preferably in a marketplace technology based company

  • Work your tail off. Days are long. Nights are longer.

  • Passion to build an amazing team and create and own Belly’s marketing vision
