ParkWhiz is looking for a Technical Writer to spend the next 2-3 months strengthening the documentation we share with our partners. Does creating awesome technical documentation for varied audiences get you excited? If so, read on.
- Identify deficiencies and errors in existing API documentation and make appropriate corrections
- Update API documentation to reflect new brand and style guildelines
- Update API documentation to contain request / response samples
- Create "Getting Started" guides for various audiences and defined use cases
- Work within existing templates (Ruby / Markdown) or help create a new template system that is easily maintainable by developers as changes to the API are made
- Overall we want our documentation to be the single source of truth for our developers and partners as well as visually be a product we are proud of to represent the API and other technical offerings as a Platform product
- Prior API documentation experience
- Understanding of functional and technical architecture
- Experience breaking down complex ideas into digestible documentation for a wide audience
- Passion for what you do. That's really important
