As a member of Devbridge, you will work on some of the most complex challenges in software design and development. You’ll be part of select team that engages with enterprise leaders, building innovative digital products.

Our clients want to leverage outstanding User Experience for building custom software used by thousands, if not millions, of users. Each project is unique and challenging. Currently we are looking for User Experience Designer with 3+ years of prior digital experience in an agency environment or tech startup. Please note that a professional level portfolio is required. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create key design deliverables for clients: User personas, sitemaps, user-flows, wireframes, and user testing plans;         
  • Work with Product Owners, fellow Designers and Engineers to strategize winning design solutions based on real-world needs;
  • Help manage the design process, drive decisions, and coordinate efforts within your team;
  • Focus on the usability of Devbridge products;
  • Where applicable, mentor junior practitioners and help those with less experience grow and develop.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the design industry;
  • An extensive online portfolio that includes samples of design work and your rationale behind the proposed solutions;
  • Expert interaction designer who is able to use design patterns and heuristics to create experiences geared toward broad range of end-users;
  • Solid information architecture skills. You must be able to sort large bodies of information into rational categories;
  • Ability to craft simple and refined micro-interactions designed to facilitate action and reduce cognitive overhead;
  • Strong project and people management skills. Must be able to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor;
  • Able to deliver as part of a team;
  • Able to present and defend ideas in an articulate manner;
  • A keen interest in emerging technologies and how they might impact future design decisions;
  • Noted skill in translating ambiguous requirements into working design solutions;
  • Familiarity with the principles of interface and/or traditional graphic design;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and high growth environment;
  • Expert knowledge of at least one major prototyping and wireframing tool such as Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Axure and/or Protoshare;
  • Functional understanding of major imaging programs - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc;
  • Responsive web design experience;
  • An interest in the methodologies and processes inherent to a User-Centered design practice.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity emerging design tools specifically Sketch and InVision;
  • Experience developing and executing user testing initiatives;
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus;
  • Basic front-end development skills and their impact on interaction;
  • Basic knowledge of SEO / SEM practices;
  • Mobile platform design patterns (iOS and Android specifically);
  • Familiarity with the principles of Design Thinking.
