LiveWatch is seeking a User Experience Research Internship to capture and synthesize insights from the field. LiveWatch is a home security and automation company that leverages best in class technology and personal service to protect our customers. We have a fast-paced, rapidly growing, startup culture.
You will collaborate with developers, designers, our product manager and senior leadership to capture and synthesize insights from the field. You will bring the user’s voice to ideation and prototyping new ecommerce concepts. In addition to your main project you will also contribute in design exercises, brainstorming sessions, and design reviews as needed within the team.
Responsibility
- Perform quantitative user research by synthesizing and analyzing internal data
- Review and conduct research on competitive web sites, existing web initiatives, past web projects and consumer research
- Synthesize research findings to create personas and user stories to aid the project team
- Prepare findings (site architectures, wireframes, use cases and task flows etc.) to be used by the team
- Identify and implement opportunities to refine UX process
- Perform qualitative user research by interviewing customers to understand their buying process
- Deliverables will include a user research report and presentation deck
About
- Basic understanding and knowledge of the user research process
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college degree program (advertising, communications, psychology, sociology or computer science majors and other related fields)
- Interest in developing ja better knowledge of User Experience Architecture best practices and tools used during the research process.
- Experience in design research, user studies and user experience (a plus)
