Vice President of Digital Strategy
Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Vice President of Digital Strategy. We are seeking a detail-oriented, versatile, highly motivated and creative individual that is excited about getting involved in an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.
Summary and Scope:
The Vice President of Digital Strategy will be responsible for a team quota of sales in the $12 million range, with an estimated 2 director level and 4 consultant level reports (subject to change). This team will divide responsibilities based on vertical market and service offering, identifying the most strategic opportunities to build new enterprise relationships which include: Web Development, Analytics, CX, Media, Retail, CPG, Education, Healthcare, and Direct Response brands. The VP will be a player/coach, managing and mentoring his/her team while also developing high level strategic opportunities. The VP will be a champion of Rise’s core values as well as the Sandler Sales Management system. The VP will report to the Chief Client Service Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve a quota in profitable business, targeting an average contract value of $360k across all service lines (Media, Analytics, CX) for a total quota of at least $12 million in closed contracts in 2017; subject to change.
- Manage the activity of directors and consultants in Salesforce, monitoring and driving the right activity to achieve individual and team goals.
- Ensure realistic and timely pipeline estimates based on data entered into Salesforce.
- Continuously train the sales team to improve in key behaviors and skills through weekly one-on-one meetings as well as observation of and/or participation in sales meetings.
- Manage hiring needs as warranted.
- Develop and cultivate new Accounts for your team from multiple methods – networking, trade resources, LinkedIn, Marketing leads, etc.
- Work closely with the marketing department to share market data and request the needed assets for success.
- Manage team level sales activities through Salesforce reporting.
- Display a thorough understanding of assigned target industries and Company's competitive advantages.
- Stay current on changes and best practices in Internet marketing.
- Listen to, identify and understand prospects' viewpoint and tailor communication to meet prospect needs and expectations.
Required Skills:
- 10-15+ years sales experience required
- Digital online advertising, direct marketing, internet marketing or e-commerce industries required
- Experience successfully managing sales teams using the equivalent of Salesforce technology and Sandler philosophy
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Exceptional research, analytic, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
- High competency level in Salesforce, Google Apps Suite (including Gmail, Google Docs, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Proven track record of sales success (meet individual/team quarterly and annual sales goals with employee retention) in an entrepreneurial environment
- Deeply familiar and passionate about the World Wide Web and online marketing
- Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity
- Ideally has strong industry relationships that can be leveraged
- Ability to communicate ongoing contact/sales activities through Salesforce reporting
- Display a thorough understanding of assigned target industries and Company's competitive advantages
