We are currently seeking a VP of Marketing to join HighGround while assisting us in our journey to help companies on their mission to engage employees and create the inspired workplace. This person is a strategic and inspirational leader, who thrives in the start-up environment and wants the opportunity to control the strategic direction of our marketing organization.  The role will oversee all channels of marketing and ultimately pushing out a marketing strategy that will build our demand generation.

The ideal candidate will be curious by nature, possess a consistent track record of leading marketing organizations that directly impact sales initiatives, and have the tenacity to build something really great.

Your core responsibility(ies) will be:

Developing our Highground marketing collateral and PR strategy are very important responsibilities for this role, but at the core, this role will spend the majority of their time working with the executive team to build our demand generation and find ways to grow our market share and revenue.

The long and legal version of the job responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

  • Create product collateral including white papers, website content, presentations, and data sheets to support HighGround’s marketing and sales teams 

  • Develop and deliver a kick @$$ PR strategy to bring HighGround’s story to life

  • Create, maintain and grow HighGround’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other strategically relevant online properties

  • Develop a formal Quarterly Business Review document and brand implementation process

  • Plan, implement & manage all internet marketing, including SEO, Pay-Per-Click and all that other good stuff

  • Create an optimization strategy to grow inbound leads to meet business needs

  • Develop senior management quality metrics and reporting to create a marketing forecast and budget

 

Momentous projects you will be walking into:

  • The construction and maintenance of our HighGround 2.0 website

  • Develop and maintain the ever so awaited HighGround monthly engagement blog & newsletter!

  • Post Series A, you will get to build a team to support the marketing function

 

Skills that will catch our eye:

  • Verifiable track record of building a marketing department from the ground up

  • Demonstrated levels of dedication and ownership required to succeed at start-up speed

  • Demonstrated conceptual thinking and design skills

  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated excellence in driving conversion online and offline from leads to customers using SEO and PPC

  • Possess ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity to meet deadlines

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the skill and ability to defuse situations and not inflame them

  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or another related discipline
