Uptake is a predictive analytics software company that works with Fortune 1000 companies to connect and analyze the massive amounts of data that have long gone untapped. We build and commercialize products that generate new revenue streams leveraging our customer’s existing data. We co-create billion dollar businesses with our industrial partners by working directly with our customers, to understand the data and processes, and then design ways for predictive insight products to be implemented within an existing workflow.

What you’ll do:

This position plans and facilitates studio and field-based video production work, including the planning, filming, editing, sound mixing, graphic design and compression output and distribution of a wide range of products, and performs other related duties as assigned. This also entails recording and editing a podcast. The Producer is a detailed-oriented and passionate about the tech industry and creating amazing stories. This person will be responsible for the production of weekly podcast series. The Producer will have stellar written and verbal communication and will demonstrate strong collaboration skills with leadership, as well as creative and writing teams

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate video content creation strategy and the priorities of the day, staying in nonstop communication to ensure full execution of the vision


• Develop and has complete ownership over video projects: coordinate and communicate production plan with all necessary parties (customers, vendors, internal teams)


• Serve as the on-site, customer-facing producer for video shoots


• Nationwide travel, as necessary


• Liaison between internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure a successful video production


• Publish podcasts to all platforms 


• Contribute to mixing and editing to create a polished and engaging podcast 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of video production management experience required


• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Television/Film Production, Communications and/or related field preferred


• Progressively responsible experience in a professional video editing/producing environment demonstrating competence in all areas of video production.


• Intricate working knowledge of audio, video and computer equipment as it relates to video and podcast production


• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of studio production with multi-camera shooting; cinematography; principles of analog and digital video capture; professional television production equipment operation including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, file compression, video switching, character generation, graphics manipulation, lighting, and post-production equipment


• Understands principles, methods, and theory of media communication; professional video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology


• Project management skills


• Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary


• Excellent decision making skills, the ability to exercise good judgment, and discretion in confidential matters


• Self-directed and accountable to the big picture; will treat this role like it’s your own business


• Willing to travel for production throughout the year when needed
