Job Description

ParkWhiz is looking for a designer to help continually improve our products and raise our level of quality. This position is part of the product team involved in all aspects of design, and will have considerable influence in how we craft impactful visuals and engaging experiences.

Responsibilities

Work with designers, developers, management, marketing, and product management to...

• Create high quality, compelling emails, landing pages, and occasional flyers or posters for popular destinations, events, and other opportunities that arise
• Test sites for cross-browser/cross-device capabilities
• Solve UI and UX problems to drive our product experience forward
• Give and solicit feedback from other team members in order to continually raise our level of quality
• Stay current with regard to digital design trends, tools, and practices

Requirements and Skills

• Highly creative individual with a passion for design
• Ability to work in a wide range of visual styles
• Solid foundation in typography, layout, and general design
• Comfortable with HTML and CSS, or a strong desire to learn
• Proven self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment with short feedback loops
• Ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress and deliver on time
• Familiar with standard design software

Bonus points

• Understanding of responsive web design, and its limitations and possibilities
• Proficiency with version control, particularly git
• Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
• Experience with email templates
