The Gig:

Our VP of Engineering will report directly to the CTO and function as the leader of a highly capable team of engineers. As part of the Persio Executive Team, the VP of Engineering will be responsible for scaling the development team and environment – maintaining the development culture through that growth.

The Work:

• Lead group of development and test engineers through the development and support of our SaaS marketing platform.
• Grow and mentor the entire engineering organization – leading by example.
• Monitor and improve end to end development processes and initiatives.
• Demonstrate an intimate understanding of marketing technology.
• Work directly with CTO and VP of Product to lead development efforts that build upon current product.
• Work with leadership and hiring to create, refine and prioritize the growth strategy for engineering domain.

The Requirements:

• A career in engineering touching all layers of development – database, server side, and front end.
• 4+ years of managing and scaling development teams (team size 10-40).
• Demonstrated experience driving engineering efforts in a startup environment and providing hands-on management.
• Expertise in agile and Test Driven Development, lean startup preferred – deep PM skills are a must.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and marketing technology.
• Experience leading and scaling a cross-functional engineering team.
• Prior work with AWS Platform services or other cloud infrastructure platforms.
