Web Analyst
The Web Analyst is a position reporting directly to the Director of UX. This is a position that provides direction on key initiatives involving the organization and uses of data and supports web-based analytics requests for the Consumer Marketing group. The Web Analyst guides stakeholders interested in leveraging web behavior data by establishing standards and providing training and follow-up to make sure web analytics best practices are adhered to throughout the community. The Web Analyst will be responsible for ongoing site performance reporting, analysis and optimization recommendations via testing and measurement. This role collaborates cross-functionally with other marketing groups to deliver end-to-end marketing initiatives that meet and exceed business and marketing objectives. This role also partners with IT to develop and leverage tools and internal and third party data that will enhance analyses and media targeting.
Responsibilities
• Analyze data to drive marketing strategy and support decision making in marketing programs
• Drive understanding of website optimization through best practice sharing, creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, analysis and presenting findings to functional leaders
• Contribute to the success of web analytics by implementing strategies that drive business results, support the brand and improve user experience.
• Work across marketing systems to integrate data that will provide more holistic insights and knowledge about our prospects and learners
• Research and recommend additional tools that will allow the ecommerce analytics group to become more efficient and effective
• Present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or digital marketing/web relevant field
• 2+ years relevant digital/web analytics experience
• Familiarity and/or experience working with Adobe Analytics Suite (Omniture Site Catalyst, Discover and/or Insight)
• Familiarity with Adobe Test and Target
• Experience using analytical software and data retrieval tools, particularly SAS, SQL and Excel
• Experience accessing, compiling and analyzing large volume data sets into concise and precise information utilizing SAS and SQL Possess, and an understanding in areas of complex application programming and data analysis.
• Knowledge of applied statistical methodologies and processes including exploratory data analysis, test design and implementation, segmentation, regression modeling, decision modeling, factor analysis, etc.
• Familiarity with digital media channels including paid search (SEM), banner advertising (CPM), affiliate, mobile and social is a plus
