What you'll do:
• Maintain and grow an environment comprising of high-performance, high-availability Window servers
• Create repeatable server builds and work closely with Trade Systems Support to deploy them to meet the dynamic needs of our business users
• Administer clients, servers, messaging, file shares, backups, software deployments, etc.
• Monitor and analyze our servers to ensure they are stable and performing optimally
• Delve into the operating system, and server hardware to optimize throughput, performance, and reliability
• Troubleshoot problems and prevent them from reoccurring
• Maintain infrastructure to measure system performance and availability – to detect problems and minimize down time and the impact of failures.
• Perform cross-discipline work with other teams (e.g. Trade Systems Support, Application Performance Management, Linux Engineering, Networking, Data Center Engineering, and Development) to solve business challenges

What you'll need:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in a Windows Administrator role
• A high aptitude for learning and employing appropriate technologies
• Solid PowerShell scripting skills
• Solid understanding of core Windows infrastructure systems like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Solid understanding of Windows fundamentals such as NTFS, Services, Scheduled Tasks, Event Logs, networking, and the Registry
• Solid understanding of network protocols and architectures
• Knowledge of trading exchanges and financial instruments is not required
• Ability to harness available tools, resolve problems quickly, and provide optimal solutions
