Your Responsibilities
As an SAP ABAP Software Engineer for the John Deere Order Management Program Order team, you will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers to develop and support new and existing functionality in the Order Product. You will have opportunities that go well beyond the traditional design, development, testing, and delivering of new features but also now includes exposure to automated test frameworks, CI/CD, code scanning, pairing, and fully peer-reviewed code
- Serve as the Order Product functional and technical lead
- Evaluate, design and implement solutions to improve product cost, quality, and performance
- Work closely with the Product Owner to gather requirements, develop work breakdowns and identify independently deployable pieces of value for delivery
- Coach and mentor other team members in support their individual development plans

What Skills You Need
- 4 or more years of SAP solution delivery experience including ABAP Object oriented development for large scale implementations with specific focus in Sales & Distribution, Vehicle Management System (VMS), Supply Chain, Materials Management including experiences in configuration
- 4 or more years of ABAP development environment and SAP NetWeaver Gateway experience
- 2 or more years of experience with full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
- 2 or more years of experience with TDD and acceptance test-driven development utilizing ABAP Unit, J-Unit, Cucumber, Worksoft Certify, Cypress, Puppeteer, Etc.
- 2 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. DBS, SQL Server, MongoDB, Hibernate, NoSQL, MySql, DB2, SAP Hana)
- 2 or more years of work experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
- Demonstrate ability to effectively coach and mentor junior developers
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Active Control etc.)
- Experience with Java web development with Spring and RESTful APIs
- Full stack experience including front end development skills in React framework
- Experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
- Experience configuring and implementing system execution/quality monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SAP Focused Run, SonarQube, nGeniusONE etc.
- Knowledge of John Deere dealers Ordering tools and processes
- Experience in Channel and/or Order Fulfillment IT Systems including but not limited to SAP Sales and Distribution
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
