About the role

You'll collaborate with customers, engineers, designers, and product managers to guide products and features from conception to launch. We seek a self-starting, data-driven individual who can help us extend established products and take new products to market. You can expect to do the following:

Attain a deep understanding of the mission and strategy of Vail and your team
Ensure your team is aligned with its mission and strategy
Synthesize data from myriad sources to drive and communicate product requirements
Define measurable goals and clearly articulate ways to achieve those goals
Interface with various stakeholders ranging from highly technical to non-technical
Ensure successful execution and shipment of deliverables
Analyze whether your team achieved their goals

About Yourself

BA/BS in Computer Science or similar technical field
Ability to think strategically about the big picture and tactically about the day-to-day
Excellent analytical, data gathering, organizational, and communication skills
Aptitude for understanding high level technical feasibility and complexity
Keen attention to detail and sharp design instincts
Natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge
Adaptability and willingness to help out wherever needed
Thrive in a dynamic environment where ambiguity may arise

A cutting-edge tech stack spurs progress

Will Tangney’s workdays involve collaborating with various teams, brainstorming with peers and tackling robust projects. Currently, he’s working on developing Hydra, the company’s multichannel conversational AI platform. “We’re presently working on our next major release, which will add many exciting features,” Tangney said. While he’s motivated by the Hydra project, he’s equally energized by a new tool utilized in the company’s tech stack: the GraalVM Native Image compiler. This technology improves application performance by optimizing resource utilization and hardens application security.

I enjoy having so many people to brainstorm with, as it enables everyone to further understand problems and identify potential issues ahead of time.
