Purpose of Position: The Assistant Floral Designer will assist and support the development of quarterly, seasonal and core floral design assortments that are on-trend, differentiated, and brand correct.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the product development timeline and follow a schedule to meet all deliverables
  • Have a strong understanding and an ability to design floral arrangements
  • Be organized in following the development requirements and deliverables
  • Understand and be mindful of floral and hard good trends in the marketplace
  • Follow the competitive landscape for new and seasonal floral design changes
  • Design camera-ready floral arrangements in the photo studio
  • Have the ability to design unique and innovative floral designs
  • Assist in the design of products that range from high velocity to unique high-end design pieces
  • Order floral product for photoshoots in time for optimum presentation

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • 3-5 years in the floral design industry preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Be able to handle the physical demands of standing for long periods of time
  • The ability to lift up to 25 lbs., as it relates to floral products and floral processing
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, PhotoShop and PowerPoint
  • Prior floral design experience and a strong knowledge of floral varieties, as well as seasonal availabilities
  • Strong color and design skills, Design expertise and floral certifications are a plus
  • Take direction and follow a project through all stages of development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, and the ability to multitask
  • Capable of working well with all cross-functional team members
  • Great organizational skills, with verbal and written communication skills
