Summary/Objective

The Associate Brand Writer will be integral in curating Figo’s brand voice and tone across all channels to both internal and external audiences. Your main functions will be to write, copy, and create content that maintains consistent, branded message of the company in both style and substance, under the supervision of our Content Strategist. You will collaborate with the marketing team on writing, strategy, editing content, and proactively driving collaboration across the team. You will help draft compelling emails and marketing pieces and may collaborate and contribute to our blog. Ideally, you have a passion for organization and are highly-detail oriented. Oh, and lastly, it also is a plus if you like pets!

Responsibilities:

· Works with the marketing team to write copy and create content that maintains a consistent, branded message of the company in both style and substance.

· Brings a fresh, creative tone and voice to the table, to help elevate stale copy.

· Assist with written communications and presentations by writing and editing material content. 

· Assist in the coordination of media communications. 

· Assist other departments with writing, communication, and public relations needs. 

Requirements

· BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, PR, or similar field. 

· 1-3+ years of experience writing clever and engaging copy for a brand, organization, or other initiative.

· Strong ability to write and edit copy according to the voice of the brand.

· Experience writing copy for social media preferred.
