The Category Manager will be responsible for meeting the e-Customer grocery needs and drive business growth. Integrate continuous improvement within business processes, utilizing category/consumer insights, eCommerce best practices, effective communication and collaboration with partners including the Sales team, Marketing, Supply Chain and vendors.   

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing Product, Price, Placement, and Promotions for the Peapod Chicago area business in the focus area of Frozen & Dairy.
• Responsible and accountable for managing to business targets for Sales, Discount, and Margin targets
• Responsible for managing vendor billing to off-set discount and helping to achieve margin targets.
• Develops and executes customer-focused eCommerce category plans to include plans for search, content, tiles, and seasonal planning.
• Responsible for providing weekly business updates including sales, units, discount, margin, customer count, basket size and frequency
• Manage vendor relationships and have a continuous review of Vendor Plans to create the best promotional offers for our customers and to meet vendor sales targets.
• Collaborate with Replenishment weekly on constant improvements in service levels and inventory coverage to drive sales
• Collaborate with support departments to drive business results
• Continuous evaluation of the Chicago area markets to improve our customer offering to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with Ahold Delhaize banners on similar desks in the interest of driving business results.
• Manage a merchandising analyst that supports the role in data analysis, product set up, facility authorization, etc to drive sales.

Desired Qualifications:

• Retail and/or Manufacturer Category Management experience
• Experience in the Frozen & Dairy business
• eCommerce experience a plus

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• 4+ years Category Management Experience
