The Post-Tribune is looking for a curious, organized reporter to conquer a busy criminal justice/public safety beat. The right candidate will be able to deliver stories that show how crime impacts the residents of Northwest Indiana and dig into public records to hold public officials accountable. Based in Crown Point, this position includes coverage of courts and breaking news while still pursuing enterprise stories. In a highly competitive market that includes Lake and Porter counties, the right journalist will have the instincts and judgment to stay on top of the news without getting buried by the small stuff. Accuracy and fairness are essential. The Post-Tribune, a Chicago Tribune Media Group paper, publishes seven days a week.  This is a full-time position with good benefits.
