THE POSITION:
This role is vital to our growing team and YCharts’ growth as a brand. We are seeking a quick-witted marketing specialist with tremendous copywriting talent and knowledge of financial services and personal finance. We’re looking for a gifted storyteller and all-around team player who is comfortable developing campaign-level concepts and activating them flawlessly across channels. This writer will be given the opportunity to help us craft a breakthrough brand voice to energize, educate and inspire our customers.
The primary aim of this role is to contribute expert written content to a wide range of marketing projects. The job may require writing across the following categories:
- Email Marketing (Hubspot)
- Website content
- Information PDFs and brochures
- Brand standards guides
- Blog posts
- Paid search ads, print ads or direct mail
- Social media updates
- Whitepapers, Case Studies, and landing pages
- Explainer Video scripts
The Copywriter will work closely with Marketing Manager, Product Managers, Sales and Customer Success Managers, Designer, and Business Development team members to provide content related to each business function.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Be the lead copywriter across a variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, email, blog articles, social media, guides, etc.)
- Ensure all-around consistency for style, voice, and tone
- Audit content for relevance and quality, assessing it against insights and marketing objectives. Proofread to identify and fix errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Have an understanding and appreciation of SEO strategy as it applies to content
- Pay very close attention to detail, with near perfect grammar and proficiency in editing
- Communicate with team, clients, and other sources to understand goals to devise winning pieces
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BA or BS in Economics, Marketing, Communications, English or related field. Additional focus on Finance is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Must be self-starting, creative and willing to proactively generate ideas
- Ability to develop positive working relationships in a team environment
- Demonstrated interest (preferably experience) in financial services industry is a plus
