Job Description
Reverb is seeking an Engineering Manager who can build and lead a small security team. You will work closely with other teams to identify risk areas and build out a vision and strategy for a team of security engineers to execute on. This is a management role - you will hire application security engineers, and collaborate with your team, our director of infrastructure, and the rest of the organization to define application security priorities and to carry them out. As part of this role, you’ll get to define new processes to identify application security risk and tie them into our overall security risk landscape.

This position is based in Chicago, but we are open to remote candidates throughout the US as well.
Responsibilities:
Grow the team by taking an active role in attracting, mentoring, supporting and retaining top-notch engineers
Drive technical and strategic vision of the team and define priorities for application security work
Contribute to threat modeling, attack detection, and incident response initiatives
Collaborate with development teams to set requirements for secure design and development
Work with product owners to develop remediations to vulnerabilities
Qualifications
Experience leading people and comfortable doing hands on engineering work
Experience in application security, plus for cloud security with AWS
Ability to provide strong technical mentorship and continuous feedback to team members
Ability to think about threat and risk in the context of an organization’s business goals
Ability to break down ambiguous problems and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical partners
Desire to grow a team and build a strong security foundation

For candidates who will work in or from Colorado: The starting pay range for this role is between $150K and $175K, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees are also eligible for Reverb's bonus program, equity program, and amazing benefits package as outlined in this job description.
