Description

We are looking for a security professional to lead our efforts in providing data and infrastructure security at Syndigo. This person will be experienced in and comfortable with network monitoring, scanning and remediation, policy documentation and communication, advanced concepts in IT networking and systems administration and leading audit efforts such as SOC, NIST, ISO and others deemed necessary by the business. You will need to be comfortable speaking with other IT professionals as well as other sponsors / executives within the business on a regular basis.

This is a remote role - it can be based anywhere in the United States.  Business travel to Syndigo's offices around the United States will be necessary.

Job Duties

• Lead all security and audit related projects
• Ensure all deadlines are realistic and completed in a timely fashion
• Lead scanning and remediation efforts across all Syndigo’s networks
• Take ownership of the IT Security Budget
• Automate tasks and alerting for constant visibility into our security posture
• Lead MDM, encryption, email and other security projects (including physical security)
• Work with IT support to ensure user device and data security
• Work with IT infrastructure to ensure infrastructure and data security
• Work with IT Infrastructure on projects as needed (including non-security related projects)
• Create and communicate security focused SOPs for Syndigo
• Work with Sales, Operations and Legal to complete and standardize items such as client security questionnaires, DPAs, and security template documents required by clients and vendors
• Present detailed security information, budgets, projects and status to senior executives

Job Requirements

• 5+ Years in IT infrastructure / Security required
• Experience in an IT Security role required
• Experience working through SOC, NIST and/or other audits required
• Knowledge of firewalls, networking and systems administration in both a Windows and Linux environment required
• Scripting and Automation experience is a plus
• Azure/AWS experience is a plus
• WebApp Pen Testing experience is a plus
