Manager, Data Operations - Product Library
As wellness experts with a product database in the millions, we're seeking an inspired critical thinker that can build on prior project manager experience to achieve production results while motivating a team that researches products, ingredients, and trends related to the Natural, Organic, Specialty, & Conventional Products Industry.
As a successful member of the team, you will drive the quality, accuracy and evolution of the SPINS Product Library. In addition, you will apply analytical skills to business opportunities related to the Library that ultimately impact quality and efficiency of the team.
This role requires experience in project management, team leadership, and knowledge of the departments, brands, products and attributes that fuel the wellness industry. A passion for health and wellness and a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment will be important for success. This position is located in our River North, Chicago headquarters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implement Product Library strategy and drive results.
- Maintain team processes initiatives
- Audit product content for accuracy
- Research and retrieve information on brands and specific products
- Update Product Library database with product information
- Provide commentary for SPINS Client Services Team reports (e.g. Business Overviews and Strategic Expansions)
- Data Entry outside of standard framework, as needed
- Contribute to new content initiatives
- Generate status reports on assigned tasks and project
- Identify and report Key Performance Indicators for the team.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 2 years’ project management experience
- 2 years’ experience working with large amounts of data in Microsoft Access/Excel.
- 1 year experience managing a team of 3 or more people.
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
- Must be able to encourage and mentor team members to achieve performance metrics
- Strong record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics & conceptual thinking skills
- Must be able to draw conclusions from data and summarize results quickly and efficiently
- Strong focus on Quality and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications Desired:
- Exposure to natural/specialty gourmet or conventional grocery product sales data.
