Position Overview
This role is within the Strategic Initiatives team of Data Management. The position will be accountable for providing consultative services to align and integrate project efforts and resources within the data strategy framework which includes developing project plans to support the timely delivery of projects, within budget and monitor project status. Business Data Systems Analysts serve as data consultants to business units in planning and coordinating systems analysis, design and implementation projects to automate processing or improve business systems.
Key Accountabilities

  • Possess strong organizational, communication, critical thinking and business analysis skills, with prior experience in project and product management to utilize best practice techniques.
  • Support our Data Strategy roadmap by adeptly building and leveraging internal networks, conducting end user research and assessing business functions / procedures to align capabilities.
  • Document functional requirements via JIRA user stories, including supporting current and target state workflows, data definition and mapping, and dashboard and reporting related requirements.
  • Effectively lead and shepherd program deliverables through all phases of a hybrid software development life-cycle, including discovery, prioritization, requirements analysis, grooming and approval, user acceptance testing coordination and completion, production smoke-testing and sign-off.
  • Demonstrate a highly consultative, service-oriented approach in working and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization, leading meetings, proposing forward-thinking approaches, documenting agreed-upon decisions and driving key follow-up actions to resolution.
  • Exhibit comfort in leading all levels of data transformation projects from high profile to tactical updates and leading multiple efforts at one time, with the ability to shift priorities quickly.
  • Build effective relationships with cross functional technical resources to ensure accurate translation of specifications into workable application code and data processes.


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years related work experience in working in or leading transformation projects in any industry, preferably, in financial services industry and/or data management.
  • 2+ years of experience with and working knowledge of SQL (Desirable)
  • Working knowledge and experience with Data Management areas spanning data warehouses, MDM, data governance, data movement and migration, analytics & reporting is preferred.
  • College Degree in related area preferred but not required.
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Suite of productivity tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, with familiarity in Power BI.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to communicate to various levels and roles throughout the organization in both written and oral formats.
  • Comfortable with change and rapid pace.
  • Desirable Certifications:
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CCBA)
    • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
