Job Description

About you:
You are a data person, aspiring product person or new product person who wants to help define solutions that are truly making a difference in the lives of working parents. You are curious about data and use that passion to find insights that can inform product roadmaps. You love the challenge of taking a high-level question and turning it into actionable insights using your SQL skills. You enjoy working cross-functionally and collaborating with different leaders within a company.

What you’ll do:
*Participate in defining products and roadmap projects
*Help develop product strategy by analyzing and reporting on key business areas
*Understand the “ins” and “outs” of user behavior, marketplace dynamics, and business operations
*Gather and unearth unmet customer needs through research, data analysis, user experience analysis and testing, and competitive research
*Work closely with product & engineering team to understand how you can provide data to power decision making
*Advocate for instrumentation in areas where we need a better understanding of user behavior
*Develop reporting on results of tests and new product releases

Pre-requisites
*1+ year(s) experience in product management, data discovery or business analysis
*Passion for collaboration and working closely with a product/engineering team
*Have a natural curiosity that overcomes obstacles to get answers
*1 year of SQL and relational database structures Required!
*Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment, and be an independent problem-solver
*Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
*High levels of energy, integrity, and curiosity
*Experience in Data Science / working on Data Science backed products is a huge plus

I wouldn't say there is just one type of project I am most excited about (mostly because we have so many!). I will say that it's truly rewarding to be a sounding board for the women in our community looking for jobs. How do you empower your team to be more creative?

I encourage my team to be creative by taking short spans (2-3 days) where we completely step out of our day-to-day work and focus on larger ideas. By unshackling from the "to-do" list and flexing our brains in a different way, we come up with incredibly interesting and creative solutions that we may not have if we were stuck to a meeting agenda.
