 We are looking for a proven Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Groupon Getaways team.  We are a global business – that means we need you to have the ability to understand requirements and develop global solutions for the business. The ability to conceptualize and create user-friendly self-service solutions is critical to be successful in this role. Our business is evolving quickly and we need you to think long term, but deliver incrementally.

 Who We Look For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent with substantial directly related work experience is required
• 3+ years of experience and knowledge with major BI reporting tools-Microstrategy is preferred.
• 4+ years of SQL programming experience is required
• Excellent understanding of data warehousing and modeling concepts (E.g., Star and snowflake schemas)
• Familiarity with MPP systems like Teradata is preferred
• **nix command line expertise is required**
• Outstanding analytical and customer service/teamwork skills required

 What We’d Love to Have:

• Microstrategy certification
• Experience with Perl or Python
