Job Description: 
A Data Architect works within a team and drives high priority customer initiatives on Azure in collaboration with customers and the Microsoft field focused on Data information management and Analytics in the cloud. 

The Data Architect will drive high priority customer initiatives, leveraging Azure data services to solve the biggest and most complex data challenges faced by 10th Magnitude's enterprise customers. This a customer facing role, accountable for the end-to-end customer deployment and usage for solutions focused around Azure data services.

You will own the entire technical customer engagement including: architectural design sessions, implementation projects and/or PoCs, production code development and reviews. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture and design discussions with senior executives and will also be able to be hands-on to show the depth of their experience and expertise. 
 What you will be doing:

• Interfacing with Business Development and technical sales teams to drive consumption of Azure data and analytics services
• Ownership of technical envisioning, scope and execution of effective data modernization solutions on Azure
• Architect scalable data processing and analytics solutions, including technical feasibility and proposal development for Big Data storage, processing and consumption (e.g., development of enterprise Data Lake strategy, heterogeneous data management, Polyglot Persistence, decision support/BI over Data Lake)
• Partnering with our clients to educate and influence them by selecting the right data platform
• Project Leadership: Driving technical delivery and ensuring success of the solution from inception to completion 
• Document and share technical best practices / insights with Engineering teams and the solution architect community 

Experience Required:

• 6+ years of experience with deep understanding in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and Data warehousing 
• 6+ years of big data (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, DataBricks) 
• 6+ years of architecting Lambda or Kappa solutions
• 6+ years of success as a consultant delivering complex data solutions 
• 3+ years in cloud development (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc)
• 6+ years of Visualizations (Power BI, Tableau etc) 
• 2+ years of Machine Learning and AI 
• Knowledge of real time/stream analytics solutions for Enterprises 
• Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication 
• Oversight experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams 
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audience

Preferred Experience (but not required):

• Real world experience using Python (Client side and server side, devises and data processing/machine learning) 
• Experience using R; experience with Marketing or Risk analytics solutions for Enterprises 
• Azure Specific Data Services: Machine Learning Studio, Stream Analytics, Data Factory, Event/IoT Hubs, and Cosmos 
• Experience with 3rd Party IaaS and PaaS Services such as: SnowFlake, MemSQL, Confluent stack, Apache druid, Delta Lake
