About the Data Transformation Team: 

We are Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)!  Through advanced industry research we provide the knowledge and commitment to excellence our customers and partners have come to expect.  The Transformation Team structures our data to help fuel high-order attributes, enabling our partners to meet and exceed their business objectives. This team simplifies the complicated world of product data into smart, industry-forward and relevant data that powers Label Insight’s products and solutions.

 

How You’ll Contribute: 

Your expertise in market trends and data-driven analysis will help you to collaborate with our syndicated data partners and customers, enabling them to utilize Label Insight to empower their analytics. Our partners at Nielsen and IRi look to Label Insight to assist in the formation of product attribution-derived analytics to help them understand the influence of health, wellness, and macro/micro market trends on consumer behavior.  By leveraging your knowledge of consumer packaged goods (CPG) formulation and marketing, you will help to analyze, clean, merge, visualize, and develop complex data, transforming it into something approachable. You’ll also create associated insights by developing and maintaining a data structure in alignment with tight industry standards and regulations, and ensuring the quality of the data by following our quality procedures. Your passion for technology, innovation, and data-driven decisions make you a great fit in our fast-paced startup environment.

 

 A Day in the Life: 

  • Start the day analyzing Label Insight’s data to identify trends, resolve issues, and tell compelling stories.  You’re an innovator when it comes to problem solving; suggest fresh and creative ideas that propel our partners and customers towards reaching their business objectives.

  • Conduct industry research to gain an understanding of the business and market in order to translate this into customer-facing insights.

  • Interpret, analyze, and clearly communicate Label Insight’s data and taxonomy structure.

  • Apply your industry knowledge and insights to develop a data strategy and maturity evaluation 

  • Develop, audit, and improve internal database taxonomies (e.g. marketing claims, ingredients, certifications and logos, nutrients).

  • Expand Label Insight’s database to align with growing market trends.

  • Learn something new! Use simple coding language to write and review attributes and data taxonomies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Customer Success Team (they’re awesome!) to help resolve customer inquiries.

  • Hone in on your sharp listening skills to help identify the customer’s business and data challenges and recommend applicable strategies and solutions.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Must possess 3+ years experience in insight analytics, database management, and/or CPG industry.  Top candidates will have experience in multiple product types including food, personal care, household cleaners, and/or dietary supplements.

  • You stay cool under pressure with strong and polished customer-facing presentation skills.

  • You’re self-motivated and not afraid to take risks; you thrive in a small, fast-paced work environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to understand and interpret simple coding language and database infrastructure

  • Experience identifying syndicated data and/or CPG customer needs and relating to ROI/business benefit statements.

  • Travel expectation: 10%-20%

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
