Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new analytical methods and tools for assessing the quality and business impact of many new and existing data sources. You will derive key insights, provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders, and provide guidance to the operational teams that will execute the analytical tools you design and develop. Your success in this role will enhance products and growth across both Epsilon and its parent company, Publicis Groupe.

Responsibilities

  • Define and conduct data analyses to derive insights that drive business impact
  • Develop tools to execute your analyses operationally and provide guidance to the operational teams that will execute your tools
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and data providers to support data ingestion, insights, aggregations, and trending projects
  • Manage data logistics - including data transfers, understanding data structures, business rules, etc. - to enable project execution 
  • Present and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Appropriately account for the timeliness and quality of all assignments 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a computational, mathematical, engineering, or scientific field
  • 2+ years of relevant industrial experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on industry use in SQL, a scripting language (Python, R) and advanced Excel
  • Experience with query optimization and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with data warehouse principles (relational tables)
  • Hands-on experience with big data ETL and/or data engineering related tasks
  • Analytic and modeling skills
  • Proficiency in conceptualizing, implementing, and evaluating accurate and scalable solutions to business problems
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize technically complex information for a non-technical audience

Additional, But Not Required Skills

  • Experience with distributed computing
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience in a computational area such as computer science, machine learning, statistics
