G2 Crowd is a B2B technology reviews platform where software buyers can evaluate potential solutions by evaluating previous users’ experience. The junior data scientist will assist the data science and analytics team in building tools and algorithms which help drive meaningful content for buyers, vendors, and G2 Crowd teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, Build and Maintain G2 algorithms that aggregate user review data into meaningful scores, visualizations, and comparisons for buyers evaluating technology
• Analyze software review data including written text and feature ratings
• Support user acquisition by building machine learning models which can identify new reviewers and flagging suspicious reviews
• Automate current reporting and support the design of new reports
• Support internal decision making and prioritization
• Communicate work to technical and non-technical audiences
  

Requirements

• Data collection and cleaning
• Predictive modeling and segmentation
• Machine learning
• Familiarity with NLP / text analytics
• Statistical programming experience (R/Python)
• Fast learner
• Excellent verbal & written communication
• Preferred degree in data driven field
• 2 - 3 years of professional experience
