As a Merchandising Strategy and Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of recurring/triggered/lifecycle campaigns. You will use a combination of expertise on the customer and data to develop these campaigns. Expect to partner closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Creative teams to bring these campaigns to life. You should be a self-starter with a bias for action, the ability to communicate effectively, and a love for solving complex problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ongoing marketing strategies.

  • Analysis of prior marketing events, ensuring high performing programs are resourced and low performers are improved

  • Leverage site analytics team and pricing team to develop stronger events

  • Develop and coordinate cross channel marketing events

  • Oversee marketing execution with centralized Marketing operations team

  • Ensure “Goods” specific branding

  • Quarterly Planning including cross channel strategy

  • Turn consumer insights and analytics into effective targeting to engage customers

  • Understand your customer, drive education, and be an ambassador of their needs within the organization

  • Build, test, and execute content programs (SEO, email content, blog)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategy

  • Drive clear, open communication to all partners regarding requirements and timelines

  • Business Acumen: Knows how businesses work; knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, and information affecting your business and organization; knows the competition and is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace

  • Innovation Management: Is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to market; has good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work; has a sense about supporting the creative process of others; can facilitate effective brainstorming; can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace

  • Planning: Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results

 

Qualifications:

  • You have 5-10 years of relevant experience in Retail, Marketing, or Merchandising, with e-commerce experience preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of making things happen through cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational, planning, quantitative, and problem solving skills; strategic and creative thinking with keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the "big picture"

  • Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments

  • Focus on analytic decision-making using data

  • You are a creative thinker and come up with innovative and effective ways to ensure all goals are met

  • You communicate effectively, both via keyboard and in person
