Sales prospecting sucks. Or, at least it did until Detective came along. Detective automates all the human grunt work sales reps do before picking up the phone including finding the fastest way to capture their prospect's attention with a well crafted opener. We’ve raised over $4m and have tripled in size in the past year.

Detective is one of Chicago’s fastest growing startups, and we’re looking for a Product Analyst to join our team. You will be our first Product Analyst and you'll work closely our VP of Product and CEO. You will be working directly with customers to gather requirements, configure our product and ensure that our product is best setup to deliver value to every customer. In addition, you will work with the product team on data analysis projects to help us improve our product.

Here's your mission, should you choose to accept:

 

  1. Work as the liaison between a new customer and the product team to define the client's needs and configure our product to deliver on those needs.
  2. Translate what customers say into what they really mean. Then, using your analytical skills, find out how best to make that happen.
  3. Analyze different data sources, news databases, and social networks to find out how to get the data our customers need. While no engineering experience is required, you must be able to critically think through how we can create business logic to determine which data to show the customer and which we shouldn't. Our customers are meeting with high-value clients and need our intelligence to get up to speed on those clients.
  4. Turn data into information, get insights and develop business decisions based on the analysis results. Help turn that information into product recommendations.
  5. Manage a project and communicate with stakeholders (customer, sales rep, engineers, and product) from beginning to end. Must be incredibly organized and proactive with communication.

Previous Sales Experience preferred (this is not a sales position, but we are building a sales tool so this is a plus)
