Job Description:

Open Data Group is looking for someone to lead the QA effort around FastScore, a Docker/microservices based product.  The ideal candidate will be capable of working with a distributed team of engineers to analyze the current QA systems, identify weak spots, build new tooling, and leverage existing infrastructure to ensure the FastScore product is of the highest quality.

While customers typically have strong requirements around security and reliability, many are still in the early phases of developing process and requirements around Docker, microservices in general, and analytics ops in particular.  As such, this position offers an opportunity to be a part of the team that is working to set industry wide standards in many of these areas.

This is a growing, but still small team.  Hence there is an opportunity to step in and make a big impact early on.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, design documents, and API specifications
• Creation, prioritization, and execution of automated and manual test plans
• Develop QA tooling to reproduce and verify a wide range of product issues
• Develop tooling for the automation of test plans
• Integration of automated testing into a CI/CD system

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years in QA Software Engineer
• Must be familiar with techniques and possess knowledge of frameworks for testing:
  • CLIs
  • REST APIs
  • GUIs
• Familiarity with Docker is important
• Must be comfortable working with microservices
• Experience with AWS is preferred

• Must have a basic knowledge of CI/CD principles and popular tooling

Experience/Education:

Education: BS/MS degree in Software design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
