If you are someone who enjoys solving complex puzzles and keeping systems safe from cyber threats, our Security Analyst role could be perfect for you. This role will be heavily focused on continuous proactive/reactive investigation and response initiatives. You will work closely with the Director of Security and Compliance and the Director of IT Operations. You need to be able to articulate IT risk lingo into language and communications that business stakeholders and senior leaders can understand as potential risks to the business.


What you’ll do with us:

The Security Analyst is, working under the direction of the Director of Security and Compliance, the point person for administering and day-to-day troubleshooting of the company’s security tools and supporting the company’s compliance with security standards. The Security Analyst is a key player in defending the company’s technology systems from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. This role offers the opportunity to participate in a broad set of compliance and security responsibilities and support a strategic function at Rewards Network.

Administer and monitor the company’s security-related tools (for example, internal alerts relating to data access or external PCI scans).

Identify potential risk issues and collaborate with networking team to develop and execute corrective steps or remediation plans.

Support the company’s PCI-DSS external assessment and SOC audit by working with external auditors and internal stakeholders to gather and upload evidence and resolve remediation issues identified by auditors.

Provide objective data and metrics reporting to IT Risk & Data Privacy Steering Committee and IT Leadership Counsel to support enterprise risk assessment and the ongoing development and maturation of the company’s security program.

Support risk assessments performed by the company’s commercial partners (e.g., rewards program partners, credit card issuers).

Support the company’s evaluation of security technologies and tools.

Participate in IT security related projects on an ongoing basis


Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other technology-related discipline

A minimum of 1 year of IT experience in IT support or IT security administration

Preference for candidates that have experience within the financial services industries and/or technology industries

General knowledge of cybersecurity and security-related tools

Ability to write basic scripts in bash, power-shell, and / or other scripting languages

Ability to read through logs to identify security threats

Self-motivated and results driven individual

Possesses a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work with different teams; Technical and non-technical to assure compliance with the company policies
