Position Details:

NowPow is looking for a data-driven, independent Senior Business Analyst to join our Insights & Evaluation team. This position plays an integral part in enabling insightful data analytics used in decision-making at NowPow and leveraging NowPow analytics as a core customer value add. Reporting to the Value Based Strategy & Evaluation Director, you will be responsible for helping customers and business leaders use data to make decisions, develop content for standard reports and dashboards, and work directly with customers to help support ROI analyses, research projects, and more. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct customer and market research to understand challenges and opportunities to using data, summarize findings, develop and implement valuable analytic solutions
• Serve as a liaison between customers and internal team, providing feedback to inform initiative priorities based on business needs and requirements. Incorporate ongoing feedback from stakeholders into existing reports, dashboards, and analyses
• Leverage data to identify insights, tell compelling stories and drive decision making to support customers and internal leadership
• Develop content for standard reports and dashboards
• Provide recommendations to senior leaders on the reporting gaps and requirements necessary to meet clinical, operational, and strategic business objectives
• Possess a strong conceptual and analytical skill set with an ability to interpret and apply statistical techniques, and effectively communicate the methods and findings to non-statistician team members and audiences
• Ability to review data extracts from healthcare and community-based sources, such as claims, EHR, gaps in care reports, patient satisfaction to assess impact to process, customer solutions and implementation approach
• Assist in the development of standardized data collection, the use of benchmark data and reports across healthcare and community stakeholders
• Deliver routine and/or ad-hoc reporting to support leadership and internal teams; effectively communicate findings
• Perform rigorous quality assurance steps to deliver highly accurate and reliable work products
• Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver effective and sustainable visualization and analytic solutions
• Maintain awareness of healthcare and value-based care regulatory changes and potential impacts to customer, sales and operations.
• Lead client conversations around data design, reporting, analyses, research projects, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

• 5+ years of practical working experience practical working experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field

• Experience working on health systems, provider, accountable care, managed care or health plan business operations, data analysis and processes
• Demonstrated experience with performing exploratory data analyses, using data to generate insights and make decisions, developing content for reports
• Experience querying large and highly normalized databases using SQL
• Experience working directly with external customers, conducting business requirements gathering and solutioning sessions, and presenting proposed solutions and results
• Excellent written/oral communication skills, including the ability to present findings, influence stakeholders and work closely with internal teams to determine acceptable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous consulting experience
• Experience working with Python for performing data analysis, statistical analysis, etc.
• Experience working in the Azure Cloud Environment
• Previous experience working on or leading research projects; experience working with health claims data a plus
