About the Role

G2 Crowd is looking for an organized, proactive Data Analyst to help draw insights from our wealth of review and operational data. We are looking for someone with an analytical eye who’s not afraid to try new things and who’s always on the lookout for better, more efficient processes and tools. Members of the data team work together as well as with other groups in the company, including product, marketing, research and sales, to ensure we are making data based decisions in a smart way.

Responsibilities

• Translate data requirements and insights into actionable tactics for a variety of departments.
• Monitor performance and identify trends in current and past benchmarks.
• Mine historical data to find trends and insights to make predictive forecasts.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Helping define and create standard data warehouses to use in analysis.
• Identify new user and review acquisition opportunities.
• Track and evaluate user behavior patterns and assist in development of new data collection methods.
• Support development of end-to-end analytics to provide team with data required to make critical decisions.
• Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize performance.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in data analysis.
• Proficient with statistical software or programming languages (eg. R, Python).
• Professional experience with statistical modelling to perform diagnostic or predictive analytics.
• Strong organizational skills with precise attention to detail.
• Proactive self-starter and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Agile and can adapt to changing circumstances or requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied math or other disciplines (Economics, Marketing) with significant quantitative work.

Nice to Have

• Professional experience with SQL and with data visualization.
• Professional experience with creation and analysis of survey data.
• Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning or other AI tools.
• Knowledge in software, tech, and/or user-generated content (ideal but not required).
• Knowledge in SEO, Google analytics, and site traffic.
• Master’s degree in statistics, applied math or other disciplines (Economics, Marketing) with significant quantitative work.
