Position Details:

NowPow is looking for a data-driven, experienced Senior Data Visualization Analyst to join our Analytics team. This position plays an integral part in enabling insightful data analytics used in decision-making at NowPow. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of multiple interactive dashboards and building, refreshing, maintaining, and enhancing the complex data sets that provide essential data insights to internal staff across all departments, senior leadership, and NowPow external customers. Our ideal candidate enjoys using data to tell stories, has a deep experience in data visualization, and has a passion for helping people get the self care resources they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and building of user-friendly interactive dashboards and reports to provide data insights for internal team usage and support client satisfaction
• Create appealing and understandable data visualizations to facilitate storytelling and data exploration that generate business insights
• Deliver and propose ad-hoc reporting to support leadership and internal teams; effectively communicate findings and complex analytical solutions that are 
• Perform rigorous quality assurance steps to achieve highly accurate and reliable work products
• Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver effective and sustainable visualization and analytic solutions
• Develop and maintain an understanding of strategic business needs by building strong cross-departmental relationships; incorporate on-going feedback into existing reports, dashboards, and analyses
• Perform coding and testing of data visualizations using Power BI
• Drive client conversations around data design and analytics

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Data Visualization, Data Analytics, and Visualization, Information Design, or related field
• 5+ years of practical working experience in Data Visualization and/or Data Storytelling
• Demonstrated experience with creating, designing, and developing interactive dashboards and visualizations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal design training strongly preferred
• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SQL, etc.
• Familiarity with the healthcare ecosystem and health IT industry a plus
• Previous consulting experience
