Primary Function
Apply statistical and other quantitative methods to the ongoing pursuit of “understanding the customer and marketplace”. The decisions made by this position have an impact on the organization through the development of analytical work that enhances the success of tactical initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of statistical and other quantitative models in support of internal client activities
- Plan, execute, and effectively communicate the results of strategic database analyses
- Conducts analysis of market data and customer information, identifying patterns, trends and translating those into actionable insights
- Utilize measurement and analysis techniques to quantify results of business activities. Assist in the education of marketing staff on measurement and analysis methodologies
- Research and recommend innovative solutions to a wide array of business problems using statistics and other quantitative methods
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, finance, mathematics, or related field. Masters in statistics, economics, or analytics preferred
- 4+ years of work experience
- Expert with linear regression, logistic regression, cluster analysis, time series analysis, and machine learning techniques
- Experience with SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or SQL
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity
Position can be based in Lake Forest or Downtown Chicago
