 POSITION SUMMARY:

The Site Merchandising Specialist II will assist in the delivery of supporting and executing the online merchandising strategy. This role will partner with the team to merchandise the site to create an experience that is easy to shop and is relevant. They will assist in site optimization strategies and ensure categories are positioned competitively online to meet sales, margin, conversion and customer satisfaction goals. This position will partner with many cross-functional partners including merchandising, content, user experience, creative design and development teams. This role will focus on creating a seamless customer experience by leveraging available customer data, competitive insights, search analytics and engagement behavior.  The position will report to the Site Merchandising Manager.



 

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Site Merchandising Manager with search and recommendation strategies
  • Assist in building out the Ulta.com landing pages for key events. Partner with Site Merchandising Manager on best practices for events.
  • Manage the merchandising direction of the site category pages
  • Analyze web metrics and results to make recommendations on site navigation within specific product categories
  • Assist in the delivery of A/B testing, product recommendations and sorting rules
  • Assist working with 3rd party site vendors such as Olapic and Power Reviews
  • Assists with business validation testing on new capabilities and enhancements
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing and Content team to enhance and build SEO
  • Research trends, opportunities and competitors to discover new ways to improve customer experience within assigned product categories.
  • Competitive Insights: Continuously look at trends in site experience, and site merchandising for outside inspiration, as well as across the beauty industry to benchmark against competitors and identify key opportunities and gaps
  • Continuous Improvement: Complete on-going training and development courses supported by the HR Training Team or the Merchandise Operations Training Team.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 3+ years of ecommerce merchandising experience
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success in an e-commerce or related (consulting/finance/retail) position
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize projects and multitask to get things done
  • Proactive and eager to constantly seek out opportunities to make an impact
