We are presently looking for a Senior Manager

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

Formulate and apply modeling and other optimization methods, interpret model results, and provide consultative recommendations to clients with respect to pricing, promotion, and methods of marketing and distribution. Use quantitative methods to assess the impact of trade marketing vehicles for clients and design customized solutions. Execute modeled analytic studies customized to clients’ research objectives and explain the model methodologies behind all key analytical consulting in respective area to clients. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of statistical results to the client. Responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives for client-configured solutions within the Sales Effectiveness Practice product line. Consult with clients about their business, price and promotional strategy and trade planning, and identify and create a framework to design customized business solutions to fit client needs. Perform client business situation assessments and design customization blueprint for solutions to meet client business needs. Collaborate and coordinate across all relevant internal Nielsen business areas including Product Management, Finance, Retail Solutions, Marketing, Solution Architecture, Sales Effectiveness Consulting and Operations to formulate and deliver Sales Effectiveness solutions. Work collaboratively with other Nielsen teams to identify revenue opportunities outside of contracted client services. Lead consultative partnerships at all levels across Sales, Category Management, Brand Management, and Consumer Marketing Insights and identify and pursue opportunities for client training and special projects to drive cross-project value. Serve as subject matter expert of Sales Effectiveness features, benefits, application, and technical aspects of the product line, as well as the competitive market. Lead presentations on Assortment, Pricing, Trade Marketing, Path-To-Purchase, and Consumer Analytics solutions to clients and assist clients in acting on recommendations in order to sell Nielsen solutions. Collaborate with Solution Specialists throughout sales cycles to propose studies and research to address clients’ business needs and price studies with appropriate design and project scope. Responsible for completing all deals through the formalized Nielsen Enterprise Sales Process, including documenting the process and status of sales entries through Salesforce. Domestic travel required for client meetings and training 12-18 times per year for 1-2 days per trip.  Involves the opportunity to telecommute from home from within the Chicago area up to 3 days per week, as feasible. Tools used: MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint).  

 

FOR THIS ROLE, WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE:

 

Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in statistics, marketing, economics, business administration or a related field (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus 1 year of experience in marketing research using statistical techniques (would also accept a bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience).  One year of experience in and/or knowledge of: project management with FMCG datasets, process optimization with FMCG datasets, and performance improvement with FMCG datasets; client engagement management; revenue growth; sales cycle optimization; the sale of FMCG analytic consultation & technology solutions for Assortment, Pricing, Trade Marketing, Path-To-Purchase, and Consumer Analytics to: Sales, Category Management, Brand Management, and Consumer Marketing Insights at Fast Moving Consumer Product Goods companies; and MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint).  Must be willing to travel domestically for client meetings and training 12-18 times per year for 1-2 days per trip.  Opportunity to telecommute from home from within the Chicago area up to 3 days per week, as feasible.
