Job Duties

Independently design, develop and maintain software applications and databases. Conceptualize software solutions at the unit level and at the system level. Participate in functional and technical specification reviews. Create and execute integration level test plans. Perform data design, data modeling and performance tuning. Develop technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements. Research technical solutions to business problems, and correct software defects. Technical Environment:  SQL, PL/SQL, Pentaho DI, Toad, batch jobs, ETL, Oracle OEM, Oracle architecture; database upgrades, SVN, deployment tools (Maven, Jenkins). SQL Developer, SQL loader, Agile/Scrum.   

Qualifications

*Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus two years of experience in the job offered or with database or software development or optimization required. Required Skills: Must have previous experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Pentaho DI, Toad, batch jobs, ETL, Oracle OEM; data design, modeling, partitioning and performance tuning, Agile/Scrum, Database upgrades, SVN, Maven, Jenkins, SQL Developer, SQL loader.   (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or with database or software development or optimization also acceptable.)
