Oasis’ future success and growth is dependent on harnessing business intelligence derived from its proprietary data. The Senior Strategy Analyst will serve as an internal consultant, providing analysis and strategic recommendations to the business across sales, underwriting, marketing, and operations. This individual will play a pivotal, high exposure role in improving operational execution and accelerating Oasis’ growth trajectory. They will be hands-on leveraging in our data assets while working closely with leadership to empower data informed business decisions. This person will also be a leader within the Strategy & Analytics department, mentoring other analysts with an opportunity for direct reports.

Position responsibilities

• Develop analytic solutions that address business questions across sales, underwriting, marketing, and operations
• Conduct in-depth analyses and build statistical models to identify trends and key drivers to inform strategic decisions
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards and other reporting to track performance
• Provide ad-hoc analytics and query support to internal teams
• Effectively communicate findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership team
• Serve as a thought leader within the organization, providing recommendations and creative alternatives to drive business growth
• Lead and mentor junior level analysts in their projects

Desired skills and experience

• 2-5 years of experience in an analytics role
• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Management, or Engineering
• Excellent analytical, statistical modeling, problem solving, and conceptual thinking abilities
• Comfortable handling sometimes ambiguously-defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering meaningful results
• Analytically curious with the ability to proactively recognize insights and opportunities beyond the original project scope
• Capable of managing multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable translating technical results into straightforward insights
• Solid experience, and advanced level of comfort with SQL and Excel
• Experience with PowerBI, SAS, Python, or R will also be valued
• Advanced command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in financial services, consulting, or credit card industry desired but not required
