Overview

Tribune’s Strategic Analytics team is looking to hire a Manager of Strategic Analytics. This is an exciting opportunity in the growing field of data analytics that is central to the strategic decisions of the organization.  This role will work with the team to translate raw data into valuable business insights. The role manages team(s) responsible for data driven and consumer-centric decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights.

The Strategic Analytics Manager will support internal stakeholders by providing actionable insights for key business initiatives across the Marketing, Distribution, Advertising, and Finance.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in strategic and analytical thinking, an ability to lead cross functional projects and present findings and recommendations to senior management, and welcomes challenging situations and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Master's preferred, 7+ years analytic experience with exposure to project planning, modeling, data analysis
• Highly Proficient in SQL
• Proficient in or willing to learn other analytical tools such as R, SAS or Python
• Data Visualization Knowledge is a plus: Tableau, Google Data Studio
• Big Data Experience is required
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to progress multiple analyses in parallel
• Ability to summarize large amounts of data/information and integrate into a meaningful story
• Ability to frame complex problems, apply creative analytics and formulate and pragmatic solution
• Effective communication skills, ability to communicate upward
• Ability to manage cross functional project work and balance multiple deliverables across working groups
