Strategic Insights Lead
GoHealth’s Revenue & Growth team within the Strategic Partnerships unit is looking for a Strategic Insights Lead to create and manage GoHealth’s internal thought leadership and market insights function. In this role, you will own the delivery of research and analysis related to the healthcare industry, translating findings into actionable insights that will enable GoHealth to deepen relationships with strategic partners and pursue new revenue and growth opportunities across the healthcare value chain. Due to the unprecedented situation of COVID-19, GoHealth has decided to protect current and future employees by managing business operations remotely. This includes interviewing new candidates, onboarding new hires and operating each day-to-day function. Following the resolution of COVID-19, the Strategic Insights Lead role may continue to operate remotely, with as-needed visits to the Chicago office for in-person interaction with team members.
Responsibilities:
- Formalize a thought leadership and market insights function within GoHealth, including the formation of processes to strengthen GoHealth’s overall healthcare knowledge base
- Identify and manage subscriptions to key healthcare publications that will serve as a primary source of industry insights, both targeted and overall macro level
- Become GoHealth’s healthcare industry expert, with a focus on the Medicare market, understanding latest trends and primary players within the space
- Provide thoughtful analyses of competitors’ and industry leaders’ products and services, market share, financials, and general strategies
- Translate industry and competitor trends into meaningful business applications that help drive the strategic direction of GoHealth
- Own the regular communication and presentation of market insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and executives to inform GoHealth on revenue opportunities and strategic roadmap
Skills and Experience:
- BA or BS degree with at least 2-5 years of work or academic experience, preferably with a market research agency or knowledge/thought leadership firm (healthcare or public health knowledge preferred)
- A passion for research, an innate curiosity, and the ability to efficiently transform complex concepts into actionable insights
- Self-motivated and independent thinker who is able to work proactively and productively in a dynamic environment
- Experience utilizing third-party market research services (IBISWorld, Gartner, etc.) not required, but a plus
- Must have the ability to travel to the Chicago office as needed. This role is open to remote candidates.
