POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technical Developer Analyst (TDA) acts as the intermediary between the business and IT, using a deep understanding of business processes and technology to help business partners achieve their desired outcomes. The TDA will be the direct interface to several senior- and executive-level business and technical partners and must develop strong working relationships with all resources to ensure successful business outcomes. This position requires the ability to understand and help envision the big picture but must also be able to identify unarticulated business needs, design process improvement opportunities, document complex workflows, and become a subject matter expert on multiple internal and third-party systems. The TDA will leverage this technical expertise to create prototypes and co-design innovative solutions while assisting in development and implementation utilizing low-code development platforms development tools.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of business experience, preferably in financial services
- Proficiency with tools related to business intelligence and business process documentation, such as Visio, Excel, reporting tools and SQL
- Experience delivering solutions on low-code platforms such as Salesforce
- Ability to operate effectively and easily transition between strategic and tactical initiatives and assignments.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proven experience preparing, presenting, and maintaining required SDLC documentation and artifacts.
- Proven experience developing training materials and in training end-users on new procedures and/or applications.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with complex technical integrations (APIs, web services) and SaaS / PaaS cloud platforms
- Conceptual understanding of relational databases in a Microsoft SQL environment. Experience with queries and scripts
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: XML, JavaScript, .NET framework, T-SQL, JQuery, JSON, CSS, Apex, Visualforce
- Knowledge of Agile and/or Kanban as well as the Waterfall Frameworks
- Familiarity with Jira and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- CSM or similar Agile-focused professional certification achieved or in-progress
- ECBA, PBA or similar business analysis focused professional certification achieved or in-progress
- Financial services related experience and/or certifications
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements.
- Engage with business partners and influence project decisions; asses the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands
- Define scope, business value and time requirements for project requests
- Identify opportunities for business-led delivery; provide consultative support on these initiatives
- Create prototypes and co-design solutions with business units and IT delivery teams
- Contribute to the implementation of solutions utilizing low-code development tools and platforms
- Promote architectural consistency and usability standards; define and execute test cases
- Translate high-level Business Requirements documents in to Technical Specifications, and help prioritize and manage requirements, possibly through a multi-phased delivery approach.
- Lead and/or assist with the analysis and documentation of complex process workflows, future-state conceptual system designs, user interfaces, and similar components.
- Create, maintain, and manage the review and approval of standard project documentation including, but not limited to: Statements of Work, Project Schedules, Technical Requirements and Specifications, Process Workflows, Test Scripts, Implementation Plans, and related documentation.
- Participate in the evaluation and project prioritization process, including the development of business cases, cost/benefit analysis, ROI, and related materials.
- Respond to and manage systems and project related inquiries from end users.
- Act as IT liaison between technical and business resources, and help mitigate and manage conflicts, risks, and issues.
