GoHealth is looking for a VP of Customer Analytics and Revenue Operations to own the primary driver of GoHealth revenue this role is a key strategic position for GoHealth to ensure revenue recognition, but to find and drive action on insights found in the data we are getting from health plan partners. In this role, you will work closely with our data engineering and data science teams to process and model the data, the financial planning and analysis team to forecast future customer and revenue trends, and our accounting team to ensure proper financial controls and revenue recognition. This role requires an analytical mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to interface with senior resources with insurance carriers to reconcile our policies and commissions. You will need to understand the data we are processing, the trends and variances that are impactful to the business, and the opportunities that we should pursue to continue GoHealth’s unparalleled growth. This role is critical to our organization and your success will be highly-visible to the executive leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a growing team to achieve strategic objectives Drive execution on customer lifetime value (LTV) initiatives across many cross-functional areas of the GoHealth business
  • Use analytics to identify opportunities to improve both customer LTV modeling and business outcomes through the use of customer segmentation
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and customer engagement teams to drive better outcomes for the company using the data insights regarding our policy submissions, membership activity, and commissions
  • Become an expert in GoHealth’s entire business so we can leverage data related to customer LTVs to improve our customers’ experiences and our financial results
  • Work with insurance carrier partners to improve our data integration, to interpret their data, and to proactively identify data or process changes that might have a downstream impact on our data pipelines or assumptions
  • Oversee the revenue sharing commission payments made to GoHealth’s downstream agencies to ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection and processing of data that comes from GoHealth’s proprietary systems and our insurance carrier partners (through partnership with our data engineering team)
  • Oversee quality assurance processes related to our data integration capabilities, reporting, and LTV models to ensure our metrics are always accurate
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary business stakeholder to prioritize and execute on data engineering and data science initiatives related to our policy submissions and commission revenue streams
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate commission revenue recognition
  • Collaborate with the financial planning and analysis team to forecast future submission LTVs

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree (math, science, engineering focus) required; master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of management experience and strong leadership skills
  • Analytic mindset with expertise in Excel (required) and visualization tools like Tableau (preferred), PowerBI, Looker, or Domo
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and passionate about using data for continuous improvement
  • Extremely strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with technology teams and other business stakeholders to execute on important and time-sensitive initiatives
  • Experience managing external partners to build stronger relationships and improve outcomes
  • Expert at project management with the ability to independently manage multiple projects at various stages at one time
  • Must be comfortable pivoting quickly with changing requirements and priorities
