3D Production Artist
A 3D production artist creates three-dimensional models, animations, and visual effects to be used in various creative projects
such as films, video games, digital advertising campaigns, VR/MR/AR, visual search and other channels. Production requires a combination of hand-drawing/computer software techniques and the ability to understand human needs in context.
Required
o 3D Max, Autodesk Maya or comparable rendering software with a portfolio showing examples of both professional and forward-thinking 3D experiences with a strong understanding of color, texture, and light, and how these elements work together
o Timeline-based animation and rendering for various outputs and channels
o AdobeCC (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Duties
o Develop 3D models and animations for a myriad of uses
o You can modify/work with assets created by other artists
o POC 3D scanning solutions
o Create mockups of projects as preliminary visual examples of the final product
o Work closely with other designers
o Want to learn about programming VR/MR and AR experiences
o Able to work with engineering and business
o Meet deadlines and deliver quality work
Education
o B.A. in Fine Arts, Multimedia, 3D Art, Sculpture, Animation, Graphic Design (with a focus on 3D modelling)
o Prior experience working in a professional capacity as a production artist
