This position is located in Chicago, IL supporting our Creative team and will be eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office/show site 2-3 days per week.

Summary

Contribute to all aspects of projects under the direction of design/project leadership. Actively participate in design thinking best practices, and support visual communication of environmental or digital concepts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Differentiators:

  • Executes entry level projects that are clearly understandable to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in design area.
  • Uses established procedures and works under immediate supervision.
  • Perform routine assigned tasks with detailed instructions for transaction based projects.
  • Works indirectly with customers and receives assignments from team members.

Other Duties:

  • Researches data, trends, and other content in support of creative ideas.
  • Revises design documentation and content.
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary group of designers as well as leads from other disciplines such as sales, marketing, operations and fabrication.
  • Actively participates in discovery sessions, and reviews.
  • Works with design leadership to follow best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate or graduate degrees in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Exhibit Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications Interior Design, and Industrial Design or have equivalent experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
  • 2 years or less of experience in in a creative agency, corporate marketing environment, or architectural design firm (entry level).
