About Us

Blitsy is a Chicago-based e-commerce company making it easier to buy arts and crafts supplies online. Recently acquired by A.C. Moore, an east coast specialty arts and crafts retailer with over 135 brick and mortar locations, we are growing our team and looking for a dynamic graphic designer who also possesses a strong background or interest in photography.

Our office is located in Chicago’s West Town/Ukrainian Village inside of a historic building that once manufactured paint brushes 140 years ago. The original hardwood floors are the same but we’ve added our own creative touch to our space – if you’re interested in working in a collaborative, dog-friendly, come-as-you-are environment each day, we would look forward to reviewing your portfolio and seeing if there is a fit.

This is an immediate opening as our very talented graphic designer + photographer is moving out of the country and so we’re looking to fill this position fast!

About You

You are an organized, detail-oriented individual who has a passion for digital graphic design. In particular, you enjoy designing for the web and have amazing photoshop skills (and other Adobe programs such as Illustrator). You happen to be so well-rounded in your creative skills that you consider yourself a savvy photographer, as well!

You are comfortable working on a MAC computer and possess strong layout skills. You have always had the eye for design that can’t be taught, and also have a good understanding of color theory and typography. You must love color and rainbows and may even know why that’s a must for this specific role on our team.

You are curious and willing to learn and are still reading this because, so far, this position sounds perfect for you. Key Job Functions:

• Designing banners for the web
• Predominantly design email marketing layouts
• Working closely with merchandising on promotion
• Product photography and styling, lifestyle photography
• Managing Instagram a huge plus
• Strong understanding of brands and the ability to follow brand guidelines
