Position Overview

We are looking for a talented contract-to-hire Illustrator who can work within a specific, existing brand style for a large tech company. This individual would be on a highly collaborative team that includes writers, visual designers, and motion designers to produce graphics and short animated video content. The illustration work largely involves characters and technology concepts.

Responsibilities

• Produce highly polished digital illustrations that are on-brand and on-message. Quality and efficiency are equally important for this client and project. 
• Create low-fidelity storyboards to demonstrate high-level intent for illustrations and motion projects.
• Work with limited client-supplied information to brainstorm multiple concepts for illustrations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during the creative process on projects from concept to delivery with oversight from a creative director or design lead.
• Create simple, diverse, and strategic illustrations.

Your weapons (wield them wisely):

• Required: A strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of illustration work, in a variety of styles
• Work examples that demonstrate sophisticated concepting, illustration, strategic design thinking, and complex problem solving
• Exceptional visual design skills (e.g., typography, color, layout)
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, Figma
• Additional capabilities in visual design and/or motion design are a huge bonus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eye for detail and high personal standards
• Curiosity
