About the role

The Mx Group is looking for an enthusiastic and multifaceted motion and graphic designer to join our team. You will work closely with our lead animator, copywriters and creative director, along with the rest of the creative team, to assist in developing concepts for motion graphics projects and bring to life compelling stories that align with our clients’ business goals and brand standards. You’ll be responsible for asset creation, storyboard preparation and light video production. You will consult directly with the client services team and the agency’s clients throughout the creative process. The work you’ll create will span a variety of mediums, including animated shorts, product demos, testimonials and digital signage. As a member of the larger creative team, you’ll occasionally flex your graphic design skills on various other projects, such as graphics for web and email use (banners, animated SVGs and GIFs) and presentations.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience creating promotional, product and explainer videos
• 3+ years of experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Experience storyboarding, editing footage, syncing audio, and doing lightweight motion graphics / animation
• Quick, creative thinking and problem solving
• Ability to make smart, purposeful decisions regarding layout and typography
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including time and asset management
• Experience designing in a collaborative setting
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative approach to motion graphics and 3D design
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field

Any or all of the following are a PLUS:

• Experience creating dynamic presentations and templates in PowerPoint
• Experience designing for responsive websites
• Understanding of how to leverage video and animation within interative projects
