ABOUT THE ROLE

Trunk Club is reinventing its Creative Services team to operate as an in-house agency and we’re looking for a Photographer/Videographer to join our growing team!

The Photographer/Videographer is responsible for capturing on brand product and some model photography, from image capture to final output. The right candidate will also have video experience, being able to shoot and edit, with knowledge of capturing all audio components. Working closely with the Creative Director and Production Manager, he/she will help ensure creative marketing needs are being met, helping with the day to day workings of an in-house production team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERYDAY

  • Responsible for producing on-brand product and model photography, as well as creating video content, from capture to delivery of completed assets
  • Execute shoots and video shoots in studio and on location, with experience giving model direction
  • Ability to set up and direct appropriate lighting, backdrops and composition for in-house shoots and video shoots for both still photography and video shoots
  • Partner with photo stylist to ensure clothing looks appropriate and on brand
  • Ability to take creative direction, to be flexible in your approach and easily adapt to working with new teams
  • Be the outspoken defender of creative quality within the demands of a high production environment
  • Calm under pressure, can excel and thrive in a high volume studio environment.
  • Be proactive in problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process
  • improvement.
  • Ensure all images are on-brand, editorial, commercial and executed to the highest of standards
  • Identify, source, and maintain lighting, grip, and digital equipment
  • Ensure that all studio space is appropriately set up and maintained
  • Manage and evolve system for tracking equipment and props
  • Manage and evolve the asset database system

WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND MIGHT LOOK LIKE

  • 3+ years experience in a fast paced, hands-on studio environment
  • A professional portfolio of lifestyle, editorial, and product photography
  • Experience shooting and editing video is a must
  • Ability to craft a creative vision for Trunk Club and assume art director responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills with strong on-set skills, model direction, and attention to detail
  • Strong photographic lighting knowledge and compositional skills.
  • Still life and prop styling experience, working with different sets and exploring new photographic situations and environments
  • A masterful skill in post-production
  • Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process improvement.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently and provide creative solutions to challenges that arise in a high-pressure, fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proficiency in industry tools e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom
  • Working knowledge of Mac OSX and PC computing platforms
